Day 1: We are on our way to the Sunshine State to explore its coastlines all the way to Key West. Our travel today takes us south to our night’s lodging in Conway, AR.

2: This morning we leave the natural beauty of Arkansas and travel south and east across the farmlands of Mis­sissippi on our way to Montgom­ery, AL, where we spend the night.

3: Today we travel through southern Alabama and northern Florida to St. Augustine, the oldest city in the United States. Night in St. Augustine.

4: A tour of historic St. Augustine is planned for today. Ponce de León landed in St. Augustine in search of the fountain of youth. This afternoon we venture behind-the-scenes and discover what makes Daytona International Speedway the World Center of Racing. We travel on to Orlando for the next three nights.

5: Today we visit the premier attraction in Orlan­do, EPCOT Theme Park. Here we enjoy futuristic presentations on space, transportation, agriculture and aquaculture.

6: We visit the Kennedy Space Center and board the NASA sightseeing bus to tour the grounds where the space vehicles are launched. 

7: Traveling south along the Florida coast, we come to Miami where we take a cruise along scenic Biscayne Bay, en­joying its natural and man-made beauties. Next two nights in Kendall.

8: It is 156 miles to Key West on the scenic Overseas Highway. Key West re­minds us of a New England seacoast town. Key West’s lush vegetation brings a splendor to its older houses. A 14-­mile Conch Train Tour adds to our understanding of this unique place.

9: This morning we drive along the northern border of the Ever­glades National Park, the largest remaining sub­tropical wilderness in the nation. We enjoy a boat tour of the waterways of the Ten Thousand Islands area this afternoon. Next two nights in Ft. Myers. 

10: Today we travel east to Clewiston near the shores of Lake Okeechobee.  Our tour begins with an historical orientation of Clewiston and Lake Okeechobee.  Next we get an up-close look at a sugar cane farm where we will chop and chew some sugar cane and view the latest farming techniques.  We also learn about sugar refining and the citrus juice industry of the area.  Later we travel back to Ft. Myers for the night.

11: This morning we visit the Edison-Ford Complex, which contains the winter homes of two of America’s most famous early 20th-century industrialists, Henry Ford and Thomas A. Edison. We enjoy an included box lunch as we travel to Sarasota.  In 1927 John Ringling selected Sarasota as winter quarters for his Ringling Brothers Circus. The fortune Ringling derived from his circus was spent on his art museum, estate and circus improvements. We visit the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art this afternoon.  Night in Sarasota.

12: We are on our way to Panama City on the Gulf of Mex­ico. Night in Panama City.

13: Today we visit the Air Force Armament Museum just outside Eglin Air Force Base near Fort Walton Beach. In the afternoon we visit the Gulf­arium with shows starring porpoises and sea lions. We visit the white sand beach before traveling to Mobile for night.­

14: A visit to the USS Alabama in Battleship Park near Mobile occupies our morning and later we visit the Bellingrath Gardens, a 900-acre estate with landscaped gardens that surround the mansion. Night in McComb, MS.

15: Today our motorcoach takes us across southern Mississippi into central Arkansas to Conway for night.

16: We remember the good times of the Florida Coastlines that were memory makers for us. After a pleasant ride, we arrive in central Kansas and home.
