All tours pick up passengers in Wichita, McPherson, Salina, Junction City, and Topeka. Tours not traveling east on I-70 will have a courtesy shuttle pickup in Junction City, and Topeka to meet the motorcoach. There is courtesy parking at each of our pickup locations.
 

Day 1: The mountains and coastlines of California and Oregon are our destination. We also enjoy the second largest all-floral parade in the nation, the Grand Floral Par­ade. We travel through western Kansas and the panhandles of Oklahoma and Texas to Tucum­cari, NM, for night.

2: Our travel today takes us to Albuquerque where we visit Old Town, the site of the city’s original settlement. Native Americans and artisans vend their handicrafts around the plaza. Our night lodging is in Holbrook, AZ.

3: This morning we visit the Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert. Following a stop at the visitor center we drive through a part of the park before continuing on to Barstow, CA, for the night.

4: Today we travel to Simi Valley where we visit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum. Later we visit the quaint Danish Village of Solvang before arriving at our hotel in Santa Maria, CA.

5: Our drive this morning takes us north to San Simeon where we tour the 165-room Hearst Castle, once the estate of William Randolph Hearst. Later we continue north to Monterey for the night.

6: This morning a guide shows us the attractions of Pebble Beach, Carmel and Monterey before we spend the night in a southern suburb of San Francisco.

7: An expert guide helps us enjoy San Francisco with a cruise on the Bay and a visit to Fisherman’s Wharf. Night in Petaluma.

8: We continue north today as we travel on the Avenue of the Giants in the Humboldt Redwoods for a visit to the giant trees on our way to Eureka for night.

9: This morning we travel north to Redwood National Park before entering Oregon. The Mailboat Hydro-jet offers us excellent sightseeing on the Rogue River at Gold Beach. We overnight in Coos Bay.

10: After a visit to the Shore Acres State Park, a 743-acre estate with unusual botanical gardens, we continue north to enjoy the beautiful coastline of Oregon and the Pacific Ocean. We travel on to Portland where we overnight for the next two nights.

11: Our reserved seats at the Grand Floral Parade await us this morning. Fabulous flowers decorate floats as they parade through the streets of Portland. Following the parade we enjoy a luncheon cruise on board the Spirit of Portland as we cruise on the Willamette River. After the cruise a guide shows us the city of Portland and the test rose gardens.

12: This morning we stop at Mult­nomah Falls, the nation’s second highest waterfall, and on to Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River. Our afternoon drive takes us along the Columbia River Valley into Baker City for night.

13: We begin our day with a visit to the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center in Baker City. Our afternoon travel takes us into Idaho where we overnight in Burley.

14: Today we travel south and east into Utah. We stop this afternoon at Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake City. Night in Price.

15: Our travel today takes us through the Rocky Mountains of Colorado to Grand Junction and on to Denver for the night.

16: Today we reflect on the memories made enjoying the coastlines of Oregon and California. After visiting ten states we arrive back in Kansas.
