This morning we tour Amarillo with a local guide. In 1974 ten Cadillacs were partially buried nose down outside of Amarillo as a form of public art.  Cadillac Ranch is our first stop today to puzzle over this curious art form.  Next we are off to Palo Duro Canyon, “The Grand Canyon of Texas” for a tour with a local guide.  This evening we enjoy dinner and a show at the Cowgirls and Cowboys Chuckwagon Dinner on the rim of the Canyon. Night in Amarillo

Our first stop this morning is at the Vintage RV Museum, one of the most unique hidden gems in Amarillo.  Next is a bee to bottle tour of Honey Creek Farms with lunch included.  Later we are headed to Lubbock.  Our first stop is a guided tour of the Buddy Holly Center which chonicles the life and music of the Lubbock native. After checking into the Cotton Court Hotel dinner is included. Next two nights in Lubbock.

Our day starts with a guided tour of Lubbock and tour of the unique American Windmill Museum.  Our lunch includes a hands on project of the West Texas area.  Next we learn about cotton, cotton picking and the agricultural history of West Texas and the south plains at the Fibermax Center for Discovery.  Following an included dinner we attend a performance at the Cactus Theater.

This morning we travel to Oklahoma City.  A mid-afternoon arrival at our hotel allows us time to freshen up before departing for our evening activities.  Dinner is included this evening.  Our evening is spent attending the Rodeo Opry Show near our hotel.  Night in Oklahoma City.

After a leisurely morning, brunch is served at a local restaurant.  Next we visit the American Banjo Museum before saying goodbye to Oklahoma City and heading back home to Kansas.
