Day 1: Each year Opryland Hotel creates a glittering holiday extravaganza, sparkling with the brilliance of nearly two million lights. Nine acres of indoor gardens are lavishly decorated with brilliant displays of holiday ornaments, huge sparkling trees, all set to the sounds of laughter and song. Today we travel from central Kansas to  Fairview Heights, IL, for the night.

2: We continue south and east to Nashville, TN, where we check into the beautiful Opryland Hotel for two nights with atrium view rooms overlooking the gardens and Christmas decor.  This evening we enjoy a Christmas dinner show.

3: Breakfast buffet included this morning. Next we experience the ICE! exhibit of carvings, sculptures and three-dimensional holiday-themed displays, all out of one million pounds of ice! We also get to ride the Delta Flatboats inside the Delta section of the Opryland Hotel.  Dinner is included at Paula Deen’s Southern Restaurant.  This evening we enjoy one of Music City’s most treasured traditions with Vince Gill and Amy Grant at the Ryman. Later we have time to discover all the Christmas charm at the Opryland Hotel.

4: Enjoy a buffet breakfast before departing the Opryland Hotel.  Next we travel to St. Charles, MO, for the night .

5: We are on our way home, back to central Kansas, with fond memories of Christmas at the Opryland Hotel.

NOTE: You'll do a significant amount of walking at Opryland Hotel due to its massive size (over 3.3 million sq ft) with walks between wings taking 15-25 minutes, so comfortable shoes and planning for extensive indoor exploration are essential for touring the gardens, shops, and restaurants.
