2: We drive through the Badlands for a look at the unique rock formations and stop for a visit at Wall Drug Store. This afternoon we travel to Rapid City to meet our local guide and begin touring in the Black Hills. A stop at Crazy Horse Memorial allows us time to view the film and exhibits in the visitor center as we learn about the monument to the Oglala Lakota warrior being carved out of the mountain. Late afternoon check-in at our hotel allows us to freshen up before taking the short drive to Mt. Rushmore. We have time to view Mt. Rushmore in the daylight before watching the evening lighting ceremonies. Night in Keystone.

3: This morning we continue our tour of the Black Hills with a stop at Stavkirke Norwegian Chapel in the Hills, a drive on the historic Custer Trail and a visit to Deadwood. In the afternoon we travel into Wyoming to visit Devils Tower which rises 1,267 feet above the Belle Fourche River. As our schedule allows there will be time for an up close look at the tower. Next we travel to Buffalo for the night.

5: An early morning departure gets us headed onto the picturesque drive into Yellowstone National Park. We meet our Yellowstone guide and continue into the park to enjoy seeing and learning about the the canyons, waterfalls, thermal features and geysers throughout the park. Time is spent in the Old Faithful area so that we get to see this famous geyser erupt. Continuing south out of the park we enjoy an evening box lunch as we head into Jackson for the next two nights.
