Day 1: Colorful New England and Nova Scotia are our destinations as we seek the radiant fall colors of the East. After a ride through Kansas and Missouri we arrive in Collinsville, near St. Louis for night.
 
2: Our trip today takes us through the rich corn and soybean farms of Illinois and Indiana. Night in Columbus, capital of Ohio.
 
3: Today we travel through eastern Ohio into Pennsylvania. This afternoon we visit the Flight 93 Memorial near Shanksville. This memorial is located where Flight 93 crashed on September 11, 2001. Night in Hazelton.
 
4: Travel today takes us across southern New York state and into Connecticut. This afternoon we visit the Mark Twain House in Hartford where the author is said to have spent the happiest and most productive years of his life. Night in Boston, MA.
 
5: Today we travel north into Maine. We stop to view the Portland Head Light Lighthouse. We continue north crossing the Canadian border. Night in St. John, NB. 
 
6: Our drive this morning takes us north into New Brunswick and then east into Nova Scotia.  By mid afternoon we are in Halifax and visiting the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site.  One of the country’s best surviving examples of 19th-century fortification the star-shaped structure was completed in 1856 to defend the city and harbor.  With its location on Citadel Hill visitors are treated to a good view of the city of Halifax and the harbor below.  Next two nights in Halifax.
 
7: Our touring today takes us away from the city and along the coast to Lunenberg, one of the greatest fishing ports on the continent. Our guide tells us about the history of this village which dates back to the mid 1700’s. On return to Halifax we stop at Peggy’s Cove, the world famous haven for artists and photographers.
 
8: Our drive this morning is through quaint villages along the rugged eastern shore. Later we travel north onto Cape Breton Island to Baddeck where we spend the next two nights. Dinner included tonight.
 
9: We begin our day with a visit to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. After the museum our destination is the Cabot Trail, the area explored by John Cabot in the later 15th century. Cape Breton Highlands National Park bears a striking resemblance to the Scottish coastal regions. 
 
10: Today we drive from Baddeck to Caribou, NS, where we board a ferry for a 75-minute ride to Prince Edward Island. Once on the Island we drive to Summerside for the next two nights.
 
11: This is our day to tour on Prince Edward Island. A local guide shows us the sights of the Island including Cavendish, the setting for the famous novel, “Anne of Green Gables” and the capital city of Charlottetown. A lobster dinner is included today.
 
12: We cross the North­umber­land Strait on the Confederation Bridge this morning to New Bruns­wick. Our drive today takes us along part of the picturesque northern coast of the province. At Mon­cton we enjoy the “Magne­tic Hill”, a hill bound to confuse you. In the afternoon our drive takes us north to the city of Edmunston where we spend the night.
 
13: A few miles after beginning today’s journey we cross into the French speaking province of Quebec. This afternoon we explore Quebec City, the provincial capital, for a city tour with a local guide. Night in Quebec City.
 
14: Our drive this morning follows the St. Lawrence River to Montreal. A local guide takes us on a tour of Canada’s bilingual multicultural city, allowing us to experience the sights and history of Montreal. Night in Montreal.
 
15: As we continue our journey west we enter Ontario and Canada’s capital city of Ottawa. Steeped in elegance and grace, Ottawa epitomizes a dignified capital. A local guide gives us a tour of the city. Later we travel to Kingston, ON, for the night.
 
16: Today we are headed to Niagara Falls. On the way we visit the CN Tower in Toronto, Canada’s largest city and premier inland port. Tonight we view Niagara Falls under the lights, tomorrow we see them by daylight. Night in Niagara Falls.
 
17: We begin with a boat ride to the base of Niagara Falls. Then we head south crossing the border back in to the United States to Toledo, OH, for night.
 
18: Our way leads steadily home. The farmlands of central Indiana give way to Illinois into Missouri. We overnight in Maryland Heights.
 
19: This is our last day to visit and reflect on the trip to New England and Nova Scotia while we travel through Missouri to our destination in central Kansas.
